What is a VPS?

Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting introduces the flexibility and power of a dedicated server at a much lower price point. Full root access, a choice of Operating Systems, different size plans and a choice of management options is included. Virtual Private Servers are perfect for larger resellers, web designers, small businesses and individuals who need more power and customizability than regular shared or reseller hosting.

We offer a range of VPS hosting options based on VMWare, Xen or OpenVZ Virtualization platforms.

A range of additional options are available on all of our Virtual Private Servers including additional dedicated IP addresses, SSL certificates and WHMCS software licenses.

We offer both managed and self-managed support options to suit your level of expertise. With managed support, we look after the day to day running of your Virtual Private Server as well as monitoring and securing it against potential threats. With self-managed, you are responsible for the running of your VPS but we’re available ad-hoc should you need extra help.

We use Dell enterprise-grade hardware nodes that all of our VPS hosts are based on. These feature 8-16 CPUs, at least 16GB DDR3 ECC RAM and all drives in at least a RAID 1 array. The result is blisteringly fast performance on all of our Virtual Private Servers.

We do not overload our VPS nodes.

OpenVZ allows a physical server to run multiple isolated operating system instances known as containers. OpenVz can only run linux based operating systems such as Centos, Fedora, Gentoo, and Debian. One disadvantage of OpenVZ users are not able to make any kernel modifications. All virtual servers have to get along with the kernel version the host runs on. However because it doesn't have the overhead of a true hypervisor it is very fast and efficient over Kvm, Xen, KVM, VMware and Cloud.

Xen and VMWare

Xen and VMWare VPS Hosting allows users to utilize full native speeds just like a Dedicated Server. Each VPS is guaranteed it's RAM as well as its swap space in order to compensate from unexpected RAM usage. Xen and VMWare do not allow overselling, so the resources you purchase are allocated to you only.

  • Full root access, just like a dedicated server
  • Fully customizable – install and configure software of your choosing and optimize as you need
  • Create and configure your own hosting plans, reseller hosting plans and much more when using WebHostManager (requires cPanel license)
  • Setup is free and fast
